A 32-year-old WWE Superstar revealed lately that he had surgery to fix an injury to his left arm, but that there is no set timeline for his rehabilitation.

Cruz Del Toro last competed in a battle royal during the Andre the Giant Memorial on SmackDown on April 5. He made an appearance in a backstage interview with Ridge Holland on the April 9 edition of NXT alongside Joaquin Wilde.

When Holland was questioned by the LWO members on his retirement, the former member of Brawling Brutes inadvertently slammed a door on Del Toro’s left hand. As Wilde checked on his companion, he let out a painful cry.

Cruz Del Toro revealed on Instagram that he had surgery to fix an injury to his left arm or hand. Although the exact date of his injuries is unknown, the Ridge Holland incident was most likely intended to put him out of his misery on television.

“A special thank you to Dr. McKeon and the team at Birmingham Surgery Center for their care, the surgery was a success. Thank you for your messages of support and good wishes. I will be back soon and
better than ever. Like someone said… #todayisdayone.

Holland even made a surprise appearance from retirement to defeat Joaquin Wilde in a Tuesday bout on NXT. Once Del Toro heals from his wounded, it will be intriguing to see if the story will continue.
