Driving for Ferrari, Charles Leclerc finished P3 in the Miami Grand Prix main race and declared himself “satisfied” with his podium performance.

The Monegasque driver had a weekend filled with near misses as he finished P2 in the Sprint Qualifying, Sprint Race, and Qualifying, and he was only a hair behind Max Verstappen the entire time.

Interestingly, he finished behind the Red Bull in the main race as well. On the podium, the three-time world champion took second place behind first-time winner Lando Norris.

Charles Leclerc commented in his post-race interview with F1TV that he was unlucky with the safety stop’s timing.

Charles Leclerc evaluates his Miami Grand Prix debut.

After a poor start and a lot of wheel-spin, Leclerc found himself in a fight with Sergio Perez and his Ferrari colleague Carlos Sainz.

The 26-year-old, cited by the previously mentioned source, stated:

Leclerc has already finished on the podium three times this season, having finished second and third in Melbourne and Jeddah, respectively.

With just three points separating them in the race for P2 in the drivers’ title, he has also cut the distance on Sergio Perez with his P3 finish in Miami. If Charles Leclerc can top the Mexican driver in the rankings and win a race in the 2024 season, it would be exciting to see.
