On Sunday, March 3, 2024, the fourth edition of National Poker Series India, the most desired and awaited poker series in the nation, kicked off with over 11,800 entrants on the first day.
National Poker Series India sets off on a 21-day adventure to observe the nation’s expanding poker community battling against one another, exhibiting captivating gaming with abilities, and taking home a prize pool of INR 50 Cr+—a sum of money never before awarded by a poker series.
Players are prepared for the most advanced experience ever provided by an Indian poker series, with over 450+ medals up for grabs at this year’s competition. There will be 150 tournaments in the series, which will begin on March 3 and end on March 24, 2024.
On the first day of the competition, the National Poker Series India 2024 has already received over 11,800 submissions nationwide. With an incredible 2,500+ entries in the Kick-off competition alone, it broke records and saw a remarkable 25% rise from previous editions.
The kick-off event was won by Ritwik Khanna from Delhi NCR, who also happened to earn this edition’s first gold medal.
In order to get participants ready for the event, National Poker event India also held a unique poker reality series called NPS CAMP. Held at a specially designed Goa villa, the four-day camp was attended by five lucky winners of a social media contest and leaderboard winners.
NPS CAMP, organized in collaboration with Poker Boot Camp India and led by professional player and aficionado Abhishek Goindi, emphasized learning about gameplay and reinforcing mental and physical well-being.
The twenty-four players were split up into five-person teams, and a poker mentor was assigned to each team. The mentor carefully examined each player’s games and made strategy recommendations based on their preferred playing style.
The NPS camp was painstakingly organized, featuring intense poker instruction along with a variety of exercises like yoga, tug of war, ice baths, and explainers on various breathing methods.
Additionally, a four-part reality sequence television series based on the camp has been produced. The show highlights the unseen work that goes into becoming a seasoned poker player, with hints of humor and tact, all the while capturing the genuine feelings of each person who embarks on the adventure.
PokerBaazi’s YouTube channel and Poker TV, a feature that allows users to watch content relevant to poker, are the places where viewers may watch the four-part reality docu-series.
