Iran’s attack on Israel lasted about five hours, US officials say

Officials from the US say that the wave of attacks from Iran on Israel seems to have stopped. The attacks went on for about five hours.

The US and Israel both kept an eye on the missile and drone strikes that started Saturday night and went on until early Sunday morning. Officials said that the number of launches seemed to go down in the early hours of Sunday.

Before the attack, US forces were stationed all over the area to help Israel defend itself, and the US planned to block as many of the missiles as it could. As part of a coordinated defensive effort, US troops stopped a number of drones that were headed for Israel. Washington is still on high alert in case there is more activity.
However, Iran’s puppet group in Lebanon, Hezbollah, fired a barrage of rockets at northern Israel early Sunday morning, even though the number of drone and missile launches has gone down.
