Lindsay Gottlieb, the head coach of the USC Trojans women’s basketball team, reportedly extended her contract with the organization through 2030. The contract extension was first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN on X, which was formerly Twitter.

The announcement of Gottlieb’s return excited the USC fans, who took
to X to react.

“Lindsay is world class!” said one fan.

“The right woman for the job,” stated one fan.

“Well deserved,” said another.
“That’s a good development, Win win for both,” wrote another fan.

The Pac-12 tournament was won by the USC Trojans under the leadership of Gottlieb in 2024.
The media also named her Pac-12 Coach of the Year in 2013, following her successful journey that led California to the NCAA Regional Final Four.

She led UC Santa Barbara to the Big West Coach of the Year honors in 2009.
USC finished the 2023–24 Pac-12 season in second place. Their overall record was 29-6, while their conference record was 13-5.

A standout performer for the duration of the season was JuJu Watkins on Gottlieb.
Pac-12 Freshman of the Year Watkins averaged 27.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. In addition to being named to the Pac12 All-Defensive Team, she will represent USC in the upcoming season.

USC women’s basketball was revitalized by Lindsay Gottlieb.

In eight seasons, Lindsay Gottlieb led California to seven NCAA tournaments with an incredible record. Since their last NCAA tournament appearance in 2014 prior to Lindsay Gottlieb, the USC Trojans have not been seeded.

Gottlieb was appointed HC of the USC Trojans in 2021. She guided USC to its first NCAA appearance since 2014 in 2023, but the team was eliminated in the first round.
Under the direction of Lindsay, USC qualified for another NCAA tournament in 2024, where it advanced to the Elite Eight.
