Christiano Ronaldo

Otavio, the Al-Nassr and Portugal teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo, has addressed a contentious social media post he made last week. The midfield player liked a post on Instagram from Malcolm, a star for Al-Hilal, following Al-Nassr’s 2-1 loss against Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup semifinal on April 8.

It was a game to forget for Ronaldo. The Portuguese sensation was shown a straight red card for elbowing Ali Al-Bulayhi, meaning he was unable to complete the match for his team.

Malcolm, a former forward for Barcelona, scored his team’s second goal of the match and was listed on the scoresheet. The Brazilian wide player posted a joyful picture to Instagram following the game, and it was observed that Otavio, a star for Al-Nassr, loved it.

Otavio has now come forward in an interview to address the matter after drawing criticism for his behavior from the supporters of his club. The 29-year-old said that, thanks to X user @9NFCBALL, he had accidentally liked the message.

“The truth is that it was by chance and it was completely
unintentional and I do not like that image to diminish my respect for my team. I am giving my heart for #AlNassr and I will always do that
💛💛💛💛💛,” Otavio said.

After Cristiano Ronaldo signed, Al-Nassr strengthened their roster with the addition of the former FC Porto player. With 38 games played for the Knights of Najd this season, the midfield player has eight goals and six assists.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Al-Nassr, is expected to be suspended after receiving a red card.

Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off in his team’s loss against Al-Hilal, and he will probably serve a two-game suspension. The Al-Nassr skipper engaged in an elbow fight with defender Al-Bulayhi off the ball when his team was behind 2-0.

Ronaldo, 39, had already been booked by referee Muhammad Al-Huwaish for dissent when he expressed his anger at the conclusion of the first half. Because of his violent behavior, the referee decided to send the legendary player off with a straight red, and he documented this in his game report.

It has been reported that Ronaldo will be sidelined for his team’s next two games due to a two-match suspension. In addition, he will pay a $5400 misbehavior punishment, which is the second one in the last two months.
